PERSPECTIVE-The way an individual view or interpret things, basically different viewpoints of different people.
INTRODUCTION AND WARM-UP ACTIVITY-
STAKEHOLDER- A person or a group of people who is/are affected by some transaction (either monetary or non-monetary) happening around them either directly or indirectly.
-In the warm-up activity we were shown different pictures and were told to list down the direct and indirect stakeholders that we could see.
Direct stakeholder- The person who is directly related to that particular situation and is being directly affected.
Indirect stakeholder-The person who is not directly related to that particular situation but is being affected indirectly with that transaction.
MAIN ACTIVITY-
- All the groups were given a picture and we had to identify the direct and indirect stakeholders in it- We were given the picture of a day care/toddler school.
THE SITUATION-
STAKEHOLDER MAP-
REFLECTIVE WRITING-
The activity as a whole was quite interesting and informative, I got to learn a new perspective for the word stakeholder, as a commerce student I only knew the word stakeholder from a business point of view but today I got to learn it from a design point of view.
Stakeholder mapping can also serve as a reference for a design solution because, as designers we have to understand and know that how a particular thing or situation can affect our customers or people around them, we have to think and look at things that are not clearly visible or available at that moment but might affect our prospective buyers indirectly in future.
Stakeholder mapping can also help in discovering potential solutions to given problem or scenario as it helps us to see a bigger picture, it forces us to think beyond what is visible or known to us. It also gives us an opportunity to think from multiple perspectives.
As a group we all contributed equally and gave a lot inputs, by working together on the miro board we could diversify our stakeholder map as we all as correct each other wherever we went wrong. One problem that I face in group activities is that there is less scope for individual ideas or view points, as we have to look at things as a whole and can't just impose our ideas.
