Reflecting on Term-1
Completion and submission of work on time- This helped me to move forward with the upcoming projects and avoided the work to pile up.
Understanding the brief properly- I made sure to make notes and interpret the brief according to my understanding, asking my teachers if I had any doubts regarding the brief. As it was important to get a clarity on brief in order to start the project.
Pushing myself to not give up and tried to give my 100%- There were times where I thought I won't be able to do it, like in f2f where working with pop became very difficult for me as I couldn't get the accurate consistency, but after 4-5 attempts I was successful in making my model.
Digital skills assignment petrified me as I was very new to it and thought I am not good at it, but practicing it everyday made me overcome that fear.
Enhancing my observation skills- As a person I am always lost in my own thoughts, always in my own world, I never used to look around while walking or pay attention to anything around me, but now I have become more inquisitive, I look at things more often, I wonder how are they made, what material is used to make it....I have started to observe and question more. This has happened as I learnt how to inquire, ask why behind everything in eoc-1 and eoc-2.

not giving up upon this pop model even if its broken! lol
Before and After my Crit -
Though I had completed all of my online submissions, I was feeling very nervous and a bit scared for my crit.
My friends had told me that they cried and some of them were told to redo a lot of things, hearing all this made me a bit scared, but I remembered Prachi ma'am saying that if you guys have done submitted everything on time, then you have nothing to worry.
When I entered the room, 5 faculty members were sitting on the table, and I was told to sit in front of them. Pankaj sir made me comfortable when he asked how was I feeling.
After that everything just flowed, it was a very good communication that we had, I received a good feedback and a feedforward.
" You are a delight to our college and you have given your best" hearing these words from Prachi ma'am were a delight to me, I felt soo good and proud that yes I did work hard and I will work harder in the next semester.
I felt more motivated and I promised myself to give my 100% to IIAD.
Feedforward received during the crit and FA submission-
Visual Skills-
Be more patient while you observe and draw.
Improve sensitivity towards different mediums.
Required consistency in you work.
Practice regularly and maintain everyday sketch book religiously.
Observe your surroundings to gather more visual sensibility.
Material Transformation-
You need to ensure that you don’t exhaust your creative potential towards the end of the project.
Design Environment-
There is need for a more analysis to draw out insights for future application,
and a more clear articulation of your emerging understanding about the topic and its application in your practice (current and future).
You must also expand your vocabulary to include design terminology to communicate your thoughts.
Design Studio-
Focus more on the reflections, dig deeper for meaningful insights.
Areas Of Strength-
Visual Skills-
have tried to work with all the prescribed mediums
I work well with water colors and oil pastels
Regular practice and timely submissions.
Material Transformation-
In M2M, all the six sides were well conceptualised and executed.
In F2F, I tried to show good precision and accuracy skills while constructing 3D forms.
I have shown very good exploratory capability during the activities, explored beyond the prescribed materials.
I have tried to consolidated the final idea with innovative components and assembly while exploring 3D space in a very good manner.
In the End Term Project, I have experimented with a variety of materials and have made good outcomes.
I have shown consistency and hardworking capability. I had a positive attitude throughout the project and decided not to give up, no matter what.
Design environment-
I have shown very good engagement with all projects / assignments / activities of the module.
I have been motivated towards my learning, working consistently to meet the demands of all activities, mostly making timely submissions, taking and incorporating feedback regularly, and being interactive during the sessions
I have tried to push the limits of my own ability, shown inclination for deeper understanding and shown commendable development over the last semester.
My posts for learner's Log of this module demonstrate a reasonably reflective approach. I have regularly tried to make relevant inter-connections between my observations (past & present) as well as between components of the subject material.
Design Studio-
Demonstrated good ability to work as part of a team as evidenced through responsible participation in most group activities.
Made relevant inter-connections between the experiences & taught subject material.
good quality of recording. Detailed noting organised for easy comprehension; and visually engaging.
Often showed willingness to experiment (take risks) in the project with new approaches & ideas.
Wide exploration of prescribed approaches; Fairly good use of the same in creative work, as directed.
Design development process shows a fair iterative approach supported by a variety of ideas.
